Sustainability
What is Environmental Sustainability?
In 1987, the Our Common Future report, published by the United Nations Brundtland Commission, provided the definition of sustainable development that is still considered the most appropriate today.
This refers to "development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".

What is the goal of Environmental Sustainability?
The focus is therefore on the future and the needs of future generations.
From an environmental point of view, the main goal of sustainability is to avoid as much as possible that natural resources and related functions, on which human life on earth depends, are permanently and irreparably damaged.
Most environmental problems are linked to the rise in temperatures compared to pre-industrial levels, caused by excess greenhouse gas emissions, connected to industrialization and human activities.

Renewable energy sources
Eurosteel Italia S.r.l., with the installation of a photovoltaic system aims to use renewable energy, which represents one of the main tools to break away from the use of fossil fuels, the main cause of greenhouse gas emissions.

In addition to being a sustainable solution for the environment, renewable energy is also one of the ways to achieve energy security, not depending on other countries, and economically it can become a means of innovation for countries and a strong ally against inflation.
